Fabulous Fingerless Gloves

by Andrea on October 25, 2011

The knitting binge continues.

If only I could say the same about an exercise binge.

Ah man, I ca hardly put those hand weights down.

Or: All I can think about is getting home from work and doing situps for three hours.

Better yet: I feel like I could jump rope All Day Long!

Alas…

My current project is knitting another pair of Lana’s Chic and Sexy Fingerless Gloves by Nancy Ricci. (The link will take you to the most similar online pattern that I can find at the moment.) And they really are chic and sexy. I’ve decided I need more things in my life that are chic and sexy. That would be a good thing.

I’ve been using Sublime cashmere merino silk dk yarn in a lovely moss/spring green. I LOVE knitting in this yarn. It is so luxuriously spongy that it gives me shivers. I highly recommend.

The fingerless gloves come out fabulously and knit up pretty quickly. I made myself a pair last winter that I adore. This new pair will be a holiday gift for a very lucky yet-to-be-determined family member or friend.

I know. I always out-do myself.

The detailing on the arms is lovely, and you chose an excellent color! I feel like they could look really green or extremely neutral depending on what other colors you’re wearing at the time :)

Wow, that is really amazing. I have tried knitting twice and both times quit (or never really finished what I started). What a talent, you are blessed. And doubly so since you’ve figured out what you’re good at and use your talent.
