We’ve been on the road, visiting family. The Sierra Foothills and then Sacramento. The leaves are blooming in Central California.
That’s the Sierras off in the distance.

And all the buildings in downtown Placerville are so old. I felt like a gold miner just walking down the sidewalk.

Not to mention there was a yarn shop. Lucky for Husband, I didn’t buy anything.

I loved all the big trees lining the neighborhoods of downtown Sacramento. I wish all neighborhoods had sidewalks with trees this big.

Now it is just nice to be home on the Trinity River.

How gorgeous is Placerville?! I so loved all of the trees we saw in California, mostly because so many of them looked like they weren’t from Minnesota and also because so many of them were so old (vs. Homestead Trees).

Great pictures! That is a great feature to a neighborhood-those trees. My aunt use to live in a really cute area in Sac called Woodland. It had the cutest little homes and great trees like the ones featured in your picture. I always loved visiting.
Glad you are seeing family-that’s always great times. Take good care,

I adore that picture of the quaint homes with the big trees. I love love love my home (don’t want to be ungrateful) but track houses just don’t have the charm of older homes.
