Well so much for more frequent blog posts. I think I should treat my yet-again failure like binge eating after a resolution to lose weight: try again!
It is hard to believe Reed is two months old! He is a thriving little guy, with lots of smiles, especially in the morning. We are outgrowing clothes left and right, and he is up to 12 1/2 pounds now. My baby is disappearing and already he looks more and more like a little boy with his expressions and such. He is holding his head up really well and has gotten himself into a nice little routine that includes six hours of sleep every night, all in one stretch.
Bless you child.
As for me, I am finally feeling much better down there and am almost pain free. The baby jogger came in the mail the other day…but so far just walking. I need to see a physical therapist to address some issues I have with my new anatomy (story for another day)… Before I get the All Clear to jog. Hopefully soon. I feel so incredibly out of shape that it is pitiful. As in, Shamefully Pitiful. As in: a walk gives me a side ache.
We have been displaced for our home for almost a month now (due to the remodel of our only bathroom), and I am much looking forward to returning home next week and getting into more of a regular routine in our own environment. Living out of suitcases with a baby for a month is doable…but not that much fun.
(Pause. Baby woke up from nap)
Where was I?
Oh yes, today hubby let me know I was getting a little too comfy in my maternity clothes.
Uh, thanks.
But he is right. Sadly.
Time to get this butt in gear!

I had to laugh, I am sorry, but your honesty is so refreshingly real and………funny, because I can relate. I hope health wise you are back to normal soon and able to use that new jogger, I know Reed will love it.
I have to say what a trooper you are. Our fridge was out for a few weeks and oh my gosh you would have thought the world ended because I only had my fridge in the garage that I had to walk ALL the way down the hall through the laundry room to get to. Living out of a suitcase with a new baby, kudos to you.

Okay Andrea, I agree, living out of a suitcase for that long and you’ve gotten him to sleep six hours straight? That is awesome. You are doing it! I know how you feel Andrea. Because lose the weight seven stinkin times and every time I think, “okay, Shauna, pull it together and let’s get it together.” It just takes time. Happy love day,
